Set Parameters after Deployment

After deploying the SMTX OS cluster, you still need to configure the following parameters.

  • Super admin password
  • IPMI information (optional)

Set Super Admin Password​

  1. In the page that displays successful deployment, click Start post-deployment configuration.

  2. Enter the password of the super admin account root. Make sure that you enter the correct password.

Set IPMI (Optional)​

Enter the IP, username, and password for each host's IPMI.

Note:

  • When you need to set multiple IPMI IPs, you can enter a start IP in IPMI Starting IP, and the remaining IPMI IPs will be automatically generated and populated in increments.
  • Batch Set Username and Password allows the same username and password to be set for multiple IPMIs at the same time.
  • If you choose not to set IPMI, the following features will not be available:
    1. Chassis topology, including host and physical disk positioning.
    2. The flashing light on the physical disk.
    3. Host fan and CPU temperature and power supply monitoring.

It is recommended that you configure IPMI information. If you click Skip This Step, you can then configure the IPMI information for the cluster in CloudTower's Cluster > Settings > IPMI Information.
