Stable IT Infrastructure: A Core Pillar for Digital Transformation

Guangri Elevator previously relied on traditional infrastructure (VMware virtualization with centralized storage) and standalone physical servers. Centralized storage became a critical single point of failure. To mitigate availability risks and ensure a stable foundation for emerging technologies, Guangri Elevator planned a modern, Hyperconvergence Infrastructure (HCI) -based cloud platform. This transition aims to eliminate single points of failure while providing high-performance, high-reliability support for critical systems including CRM, MES, and ERP.

Comparative Testing: International Solutions vs. SmartX ECP

During the POC phase, Guangri Elevator conducted comparative testing of HCI products from Nutanix, VMware, and SmartX. At last, SmartX ECP was selected for its superior performance, stability, and professional local service team.

SmartX ECP: Powering Multi-Site Production & Replacing VMware

Since 2022, Guangri Elevator has deployed SmartX ECP clusters to host critical business systems, including CRM, ERP, MES, and OA. In Guangzhou, the clusters support critical operations for both the group headquarters and the local factory. In the newly commissioned Sichuan and Shandong plants, SmartX ECP carries all factory-side production systems. All clusters utilize SmartX’s native hypervisor, ELF, with unified multi-cluster management via CloudTower.

Future-Proofing AI Integration & Intelligent Upgrades

Guangri Elevator plans to progressively integrate Big Data and AI to drive intelligent upgrades across its production lines. Leveraging SmartX ECP, the company can rapidly deploy new services through seamless online expansion and flexible server configurations. Furthermore, SmartX’s performance optimization technologies—including Boost Mode, I/O Localization, and Persistent Cache—meet the rigorous performance and stability requirements of innovative applications, accelerating Guangri Elevator’s digital transformation and business evolution.
